Issues

"We need new, wide-ranging ideas that carefully evaluate growth for Warwick while maintaining the beauty and natural resources of our Town."
AGRICULTURE
  • Warwick was built and thrives because of our farms and farmworkers, all of whom are integral to our growth and putting food on our tables. We must continue to support farming and farmworkers.
  • As we continue to promote agritourism, we need to make sure farmers and farmworkers receive the support they require to growth and thrive.

DEVELOPMENT
  • The combination of our proximity to New York City and our rural charm are two of our many assets. To maintain our charm, we must carefully consider how we'll grow.
  • Warwick is a great place to live and for many, a great place to work. We have to think creatively to prevent overdevelopment of our neighborhoods and create opportunities that create jobs.

ECONOMY
  • As taxpayers, we expect our representatives to utilize our funds responsibly. As an advisor to businesses and individuals, I have always encouraged fiscal conservatism.

ENVIRONMENT
  • Our planet has finite resources. The issue is no longer about safeguarding for future generations; it’s about taking action to prevent catastrophe in our lifetimes.
  • Warwick might not change the world, but we can continue to actively take up the local challenges to protect our water and our land and contribute to greater efforts to reverse climate change.

TRANSPORTATION
  • We need to develop additional, clean transportation alternatives. By providing greater mobility for neighbors in our more rural areas, we' increase access to educational and employment opportunities.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMPLOYMENT
  • I will work to establish a business resource organization for our Town that will help development of new, clean, sustainable, companies.

HOUSING
  • I will work to create housing that is attainable for young people, families, and senior citizens.  We can do this by rethinking conventional living communities and the impact of potential traffic, density, and available natural resources before development begins.

TRANSPORTATION & BROADBAND
  • Develop additional, clean transportation alternatives and expand access to broadband, particularly for neighbors in our more rural areas.  This will allow greater access to educational and employment opportunities.
  • Increase access among Villages and hamlets by expanding bike lanes, walkways, as well as local transportation alternatives.  Each of our Villages and hamlets has a unique identity that contributes to the beauty of our Town and attraction for tourists.  Greater access will ensure each Village and hamlet gets the resources and attention it needs as we do our small part to ward off climate change.

OPIOID & OTHER ADDICTIONS
  • Support the treatment of those suffering from opioid and other addictions.  Greater education is required to help prevent addiction and provide access to treatment for those already suffering.

DEVELOPMENTAL & OTHER CHALLENGES
  • Develop local facilities for children and adults with physical, neurological, learning, and behavioral challenges so that family members receive care without having to leave Warwick or the County.
